As a Lancashire Wedding Photographer, the opportunity to shoot at this gem of a wedding venue for the first time was one I had been looking forward to since first hearing from Graham & Caroline.
Upon arrival at the venue, it was a delight to bump into Dave Knowles who heads up the wedding team at Stirk House. I had met Dave at before at another venue and as well as being a thoroughly lovely bloke, he is an absolute professional who makes sure every detail is attended to and makes the bride, groom, guests and vendors are all looked after to the very highest level.
This day however belonged to Graham and Caroline, the bride and groom. These two are such a lovely couple who were up for a laugh throughout the day along with their guests. Despite the weather not knowing what it wanted to be; bright, rainy or howling a gale, we managed to get outside for some lovely portrait shots.
I loved the personal details that Graham and Caroline had put into their wedding; the three tier pork pie wedding cake, and individually planted flower favours were among my favourites.
As the sun set and night fell, there is a huge oak tree outside decorated beautifully with fairy lights, this provided an opportunity not to be missed.
Take a look at some of my favourite images from the day.Â
