I really like to meet up with couple as part of the booking process, this allows us to start to get to know about each other a little as I believe the better I know your personality, the better I can reflect this in your images. I am based in Bolton and am happy to travel for consultation within a reasonable distance but if meeting isn't possible, I am happy to have Skype call or similar or if you'd prefer to keep it just to e-mails that is also perfectly fine. To confirm your wedding package I will request a completed booking form and a booking fee of £100. Around a month before your wedding, we will meet up again to talk further about our ideas for your images. I'll take a list of any formal family shots you require which I will use on the day and also confirm all timings.
Short answer: YES, absolutely! The slightly longer answer is: I love a good pre-wedding shoot, it gives us the opportunity to get out and about and have a giggle while getting to know each other better. It give you the opportunity to have some beautiful images of each other created in a more casual setting and if you, like me, are not particularly comfortable in front of the lens, you get feel a little more at ease in front of the camera. Lots of people I shoot before their wedding use the images in a photo guest book or signature frame that their wedding guests will sign on the wedding day. Have a wonder over here to take a look at some engagement session images.

I always ensure that final images are available to view online no longer than 4 weeks after the wedding. Your digital images on your bespoke USB will be delivered shortly after, usually no longer than 5 weeks after your wedding date.
Yes, I offer a number of different album options which I will be happy to discuss with you in further detail should you have an interest in them. Storybooks and albums are not included in the majority of my packages allowing you to have full creative involvement and choose the exact size, number of pages, layout, cover colour and finish that suits you. I have always believed that images are best displayed in print, be it as wall art, frames desk prints or in an album and I provide products of the highest quality from one of the leading professional labs in the UK as well as beautiful wedding albums and storybooks hand crafted in Italy.

Now this question I find difficult to answer as I don't consider myself to fall completely into one particular category. I like to capture true, honest, candid and natural moments as they happen without minimal involvement or interference. This could be described a documentary wedding photography, photojournalist wedding photography or reportage wedding photography but a anyone staying completely true to these wedding photography style will give no direction at all; will not move anything for the best light, will not pose a couple for them to look their best, is unlikely to set up group shots for you....so that's me out of that club. There are traditional wedding photography elements to what I offer such as the family and wedding party shots but as well as a 'normal' shot, I'll also try to capture something a little different, fun and creative even during the more formal part of the day. Fine art wedding photographers will do a lot of staging, images may be heavily edited and be more a reflection of the photographers vision than actual events. There are natural light wedding photographers; now, I shoot probably 90%+ of the time without flash but I love to get the lighting out for a dramatic first dance shot or a creative light wedding portrait. I like to consider myself as a contemporary Manchester wedding photographer with an eclectic mix of wedding photography styles...clear as mud?

As a professional Manchester wedding photographer, and we all know what the weather can be like here up North, it is essential that I can work in all weather. I do like to get out and about and make the most of the outdoor areas your venue may offer but I do always take into consideration the possibility that we may not be able to and have a plan B up my sleeve to ensure your images are as beautiful as possible regardless of where they are taken. That said, if you're up for it, I'm happy to get out there in wellies or with an umbrella and create some beautiful images; rain and snow can offer the opportunity for unique and creative images.

All packages include coverage at multiple locations so if you're getting ready at one place, the service is at another and the reception at a third location, this isn't a problem. If bride and groom preparation is required then I will make every effort to include this but it may be better to consider a including a second photographer in your package; I am able to call upon a trusted network of photographers whose style compliments my own to work alongside and provide coverage at multiple locations at the same time. A second photographer can be included in your wedding package from £100 depending on the length of time they are required.
Yes, I can provide a copy of my public liability insurance should you or the venue need it in advance of the wedding.
