Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photography - Ian & Maisie

Being a Rivington Hall Barn wedding photographer is such a pleasure made more so by shooting the wedding of wonderful people and wow, this wedding was such a ball. Ian, Maisie, their family and friends were such a pleasure to be with on this very special day.

I started my day meeting the bride, her bridesmaids and parents at the Kilhey Court Hotel where hair and make-up were well just getting started, fortunately the bride had not had her make-up done before she read an emotional card from her husband to be.

I am writing this blog in 2017 but the wedding actually took place in 2015 (arrghhh, how have I got this far behind with the blog!!), I can not recall all of the suppliers involved with the day. Despite this, when I come across an exceptional wedding supplier I always remember them and Kathryn Farrington is an exceptional make-up artist, check out her link below, I could not recommend her highly enough.

After some time with the bridal party it was off to the other end of the hotel to see what the fella's were up to; getting ready, having a laugh and heading off to the bar was the answer...of course :) After some time with the groomsmen it was back to the bride who was almost ready. Dad was brought in and upon seeing his daughter his pride was clear to see.

I had not had the pleasure of meeting either Ian or Maisie before the wedding but I knew from the moment I had met them both that we were going to have a lot of fun and capture some amazing wedding images.

From the Kilhey Court it was off to their wedding venue for the day, Rivington Hall Barn, in style in the VW Camper. A beautiful service was followed by canapes in the grounds before we went off to capture some beautiful bride and groom portraits.

Rivington Hall Barn is such a fantastic venue inside and out. Inside there is the dramatic wood beamed roof draped with fabric an lit with pretty fairy lights which give a lovely imtimate feel to the venue despite its size. Outside, the surrounding woodland , lakes and bridges make the perfect backdrop for beautiful wedding photographs.

Following the wedding breakfast and some lovely, and hilarious, speeches there was time for some more outdoor mingling in the beautiful August sunshine before day turned into evening and the reception started. I had the feeling we were going to have a real party on our hands and was not disappointed, the live band were amazing and following the first dance, the guests could not wait to get stuck in.
