With a "Till Death Do Us Part" theme, this was always going to be a wedding to look forward to. I certainly couldn't wait for the day to come as I'm sure is the case for the lovely bride and groom, Mark & Sarah.

The wedding was taking place at Silverwell Hall in the centre of Bolton, this place really is a little gem of a wedding venue that I had not shot at, or even heard of, before being asked to shoot Mark & Sarah's wedding. The modest entrance leads into a stunning staircase, beautiful original architectural features, and lavishly decorated function rooms which are all beautifully maintained. Although lacking in outdoor space of its own, the grounds of Bolton Parish Church are literally yards away.

Bridal preparation was well underway when I arrived and the excitement was infectious. The day went (almost) completely to plan and was enjoyed by all.

The theme was evident but subtle throughout the day, look out for the details in the images. Although one part of the wedding where there was no mistaking this couple's individuality was the wedding cakes, a medley of bundts (chocolate covered snickers, Iron Maiden Trooper Beer & rasberry and white chocolate) supporting the main event, 'his and hers' 3D skull shaped bunts all lovingly baked by Sarah's close friend Rachel 'Dollybakes' McGrath, absolutely amazing :)

As Sarah is a friend and work colleague of my wife, we had the pleasure of returning later in the evening as a guest and 'rock out' with the rest of the party.
